SEVA FOUNDATION

ABOUT

Volunteering at Seva's Berkeley office includes tasks such as mailing, filing, and data entry; it is a great way to earn community service hours. Seva also has many special projects and fundraising campaigns for the volunteers to take part in.

ALAMEDA FOOD BANK

ABOUT

The food bank needs 150 volunteers to meet community needs and just 3 hours of help a day means thousands of meals for the community. The work is simple and mostly is bagging fruit or vegetables. Bring a friend along with you and you will be able to have fun while you work to help others.

REQUIREMENTS

-In order to volunteer, bring a group of friends and register on their website.

-Make sure you have a signed waiver if you are under 18

-If you are individually volunteering, you will be required to attend a one hour orientation.

VIDA

ABOUT

VIDA has an Emeryville warehouse full of donated medical supplies that need sorting. In order to clear customs, the medical supplies that range anywhere from syringes to surgical equipment needed to be sorted properly. Feel free to bring music along with you or a source of media to watch Netflix on and get sorting!

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

ABOUT

Volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, an organization that sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories and more for a fraction of the price, includes helping with store organization and retail inventory, cleaning, unloading donations, helping customers with their purchases etc.

REQUIREMENTS

-Must be 16 or older and waiver is need if you are from 16-18
